G121I1-L01 Display Performance

G121I1-L01 features IPS wide-viewing-angle technology and is suitable for industrial HMIs, equipment control panels, medical displays, and similar applications. With a typical brightness of 350 cd/m², a 700:1 contrast ratio, and 170° horizontal/vertical viewing angles, it maintains clear and consistent colors even when viewed from the side. The panel supports 24-bit LVDS input and displays 16.7 million colors, meeting the visual requirements of most industrial applications.

The panel operates from 0°C to +50°C and can be stored from -20°C to +60°C, making it suitable for non-room-temperature environments such as workshops and equipment enclosures. It does not include a backlight driver circuit, so an external backlight inverter or LED driver board is required. It also has no integrated touch function, so an external touch module is needed for touch applications. As a bare panel, G121I1-L01 must be matched with a compatible LVDS driver board and mechanical mounting dimensions during system design.

 

G121I1-L01 Interface and Pinout

G121I1-L01 uses a 30-pin LVDS interface, supporting 1-channel LVDS signal transmission and 6-bit/8-bit color input with a 3.3 V logic voltage. The interface mainly consists of LVDS differential data pairs, clock signals, power, and ground pins. For color data transmission, the LVDS interface uses differential signals to transmit RGB image data and synchronizes the data through the clock signal.

G121I1-L01 Backlight Unit

V DC input, with 12 V typical, and the typical input current is 0.7 A at 100% duty cycle. The LED strip has a typical forward voltage of 35.2 V and an LED current of 80 mA, with typical backlight power consumption of 8.5 W. The LED configuration is 3 parallel ×9 series.

The EN pin is enabled at 2.05.0 V and disabled at 00.8 V. PWM dimming supports 190 Hz20 kHz with a 2%100% duty cycle; at 120 kHz, the minimum ON time should be 20 μs. The LED rated life is 50,000 hours under specified conditions (25 ± 2, 80 mA forward current, 50% initial brightness). High temperatures may shorten backlight life and cause color shifts.

The G121I1-L01 functional block diagram illustrates the internal signal flow of the module. Signals enter through the Starconn 093G30-B0001A-G4 input connector, while LVDS signals (RX0–RX3 and RXCLK) are processed by the LVDS input and timing controller. Together with the DC/DC converter and reference voltage module, the system generates drive signals for the scan driver and data module, ultimately driving the TFT LCD panel. The backlight path uses the VLED, Dimming, and ENLED pins to connect to the LED converter for backlight activation and brightness control.

Assembly & Handling Precautions

1)      Secure the module using all mounting holes. Do not twist or bend it.

2)      Assemble the module in a clean area and keep it free from dust and oil.

3)      Wear finger cots or soft gloves during inspection and assembly.

4)      Do not press or scratch the polarizer surface.

5)      Clean the polarizer only with absorbent cotton or a soft cloth. Avoid acetone, ethyl alcohol, toluene, ethyl acid, and methyl chloride.

6)      Remove water or oil immediately to prevent stains and discoloration.

7)      Avoid contact with leaked liquid crystal material. Wash exposed skin or clothing thoroughly with soap.

8)      Protect the module from static electricity to prevent C-MOS Gate Array IC damage.

9)      Do not disassemble the module.

10)  Do not pull or fold the lamp wire.

11)  Do not touch I/F connector pins with bare hands.
